Charitable fund

Humanity United Charitable Fund (“HUCF”) is a 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to transforming violent conflict and human exploitation into enduring peace and freedom around the world. 

HUCF receives financial support from a broad donor base to fund its charitable mission, which includes providing support to grantee partners around the world and collaborating with public, private, and philanthropic partners.

HUCF is affiliated with Humanity United (“HU”), a private foundation working at the intersection of human rights, peacebuilding, locally grounded action, and influencing systems to recognize shared humanity. Funds contributed to HUCF are disbursed by HUCF via core or flexible grant support, annual or multi-year general operating support, and direct charitable activities. HU provides staff, expertise, and operational support to HUCF via a shared services agreement, in alignment with their shared mission and values. 

HUCF currently oversees the following multi-donor funds to provide creative and flexible funding models to support the areas we work within:

• Borderless Journalism Fund (BJF)
• Collective Action Assistance Fund (CAAF)
• Global Migrant Workers Network (GMWN)
• Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated Fishing Coalition (IUU)
